Takeaway from RSA Conference 2024

Each year, the RSA conference is centered around a theme. In 2024, the selected theme was “The Art of the Possible”. The attendees included:

  • Mikko Hypponen, a best-selling cyber security author and recognized expert, focused on the alarming spike of ransomware attacks against enterprises and the need for proactive security measures. 
  • Secure by design: Christopher Romeo from Devici highlighted the continued need for security measures and prioritization of privacy controls amidst the rise of threats in his session “Secure and Privacy by Design Converge with Threat Modeling”. 
  • The darker side of AI: Focused on the cons of generative AI and its ramifications on human lives worldwide. Topics like the impact of GenAI on society, the legal system, digital identity, and election interference were covered by various speakers. 
  • Securing outer space: In his talk “Why Outer Space Is the Next Frontier for Cybersecurity,” Patrick Lin discussed the need for robust security measures in the growing space industry.
