EDPS

Established in 2004, the European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) plays an important role in protecting individuals’ personal data. The EDPS works independently to ensure personal data is processed by EU institutions in a manner that is both transparent and respectful of individuals’ rights. It serves as a critical safeguard to protect people’s privacy and provides much-needed enforcement when data protection laws are being violated.
